Thank you to Kerry Lawing for coming out to work with us last week, it is always fun to hang out with him and listen to his enlightening conversations.  Kerry and Larry had the opportunity to do a collaborative oil painting together for their best bud Darrin White.

6/3/2010 - Jessica and Larry have lost a dear member of their family with the passing of their Pug, Zoe Nugget.  Zoe had been handicapped since birth and suffered some recent health issues that her little body couldn't recover from.  She was quite possibly the most gentile creature nature ever created and she will be missed by her many friends.  Rest In Peace little Nugget.

12/01/09 - As 2009 is coming to a close we at Tattoo City would like to thank all our clients, friends and family for their great support.  We celebrated our 15th year in business back in June and owe it all to you, Thanks a trillion.

A big thanks to our friends and fellow artists, Darrin White and Kerry Lawing for the fun and laughs during their guest spots this year.  Look for both tattoo monsters to be back in 2010.

Larry will  be starting his 20th year of tattooing in 2010 and having turned 40 last week he has literally tattooed for half his life.  He has spent the last 15 years working hard to build a great reputation for himself and Tattoo City since the shop opened it's doors in 2004.  The time has come for Larry to concentrate on other projects such as authoring and co-authoring a couple books and focusing more time on his painting.  He will be cutting back his tattooing schedule to two days a week, Friday and Saturday.  With a shorter schedule he will have to be even more selective about the projects that he takes on.  Anyone interested in being tattooed by Larry should email him at tattoocity@aol.com with a full description of what they want, how large and where on the body it will go.  Please attach any reference photos that may pertain to the project and include something pertaining to tattooing in the emails subject line to avoid being treated as spam.  If your idea is something Larry is interested in working on he will contact you with booking information.  If it is something he cannot work into his schedule, the information will be forwarded onto the other artists at Tattoo City who are all very talented and capable artists.

We have updated a bunch of tattoo photos including some new work from Larry and a new gallery has been added for Jessica along with a ton of new Whim tattoos.

January found Jessica and Larry tattooing at Rick Harnowski's 13th International Tattoo Convention in Green Bay Wisconsin. 12-11-08 - Happy Holidays to everyone from the staff at Tattoo City

Some new photos have been added to Jessica and Larry's Tattoo Galleries so check them out.  Jessica has been creating a bit of a stir at the tattoo conventions with her whimsical and child like designs that she calls Whims (short for whimsical) and Attitude Animals that resemble crayon drawings that we all did as children.  She has been doing a bunch of these lately so we have added a gallery to feature them right here.

It was a busy autumn with us attending four tattoo conventions over five weeks in Orlando, FL - Hancock, MA - St. Louis, MO and Louisville, KY.  Some of the highlights include a collaborative painting in Massachusetts with Darrin White, Kelly Gormley and Larry Brogan.  St. Louis found another collaborative painting project between Jessica Weichers, Muriel Stewart, Kelly Gormley, Darrin White and Larry Brogan where they painted a famous tattoo machine built by Lyle Tuttle called the Frisco Flyer.  The group presented Lyle with the painting at the end of the convention.  In Orlando, Darrin White, Nick Malasto and Larry Brogan started a three artist tattoo collaboration on fellow artist Marc Draven.  This is quite and undertaking considering it is full back cover-up of a bunch of old tattoos covering Marcs entire back.  In Louisville Larry won Tattoo of the Day and Best of Show trophies for an interesting Cyclops Octopussy tattoo on Mel D from Ink Junkies foot.

A great many thanks are owed to many people including Darrin White who once again came to town for a guest spot.  He is a big inspiration to us all and lots of fun to work with.  We wish him well during his rise to the top of the tattoo world.

A huge thank you to Chris Reid from Melbourne Australia who took such great care of Larry during his trip Down-under.  He was a gracious host and a wonderful tour guide.  Keep an eye open for Chris to visit and guest spot with us in the future.

No amount of thanks can repay Matt and Jak and Seth Parkin for all they did during Larry's stay in New Zealand.  Matt and his wife Jak got tattooed by Larry for two days including Jak getting her whole arm sleeved in one day.  They then took Larry on the most beautiful scenic drive around the South Island for three solid days at took 3000 photographs.  The home cooked meals from Jak where awesome as well.

A giant thank you to Damian Mcgrath who runs the Toronto Tattoo Convention for letting Larry paint the convention poster this year.  Larry also took part in the Art Fusion Experiment where he joined forces with the likes of Paul Booth, Dave Nestler, Kurt Wiscomb, Joe Haggerty, Bill Funk, Bob Tyrrell, and a heap of others to paint some collaborative art for a charity auction.  Larry also had several paintings on display at the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art where his convention poster painting was the featured attraction.

Many thanks to Paul Booth and his crew at Last Rites for taking care of Larry during his guest spot back in April.  Thanks also to Brian Murphy and Bob Tyrrell who where both tattooing at the shop the same week and hung out in NYC.

3-24-08 - We apologize for the long stretch between updates but due to a computer melt down problem we were unable to access our web site.  The problems have been taken care of and we will soon have a bunch of updates coming online soon.  A giant thank you to Arlan and Dale for the computer help, you guys kick ass.

It has been a very busy year so far at Tattoo City and we would like to take the opportunity to give a shout out and some thank yous to some fine friends.

Larry Wishes to thank Brett Schwindt and the crew at Strange World in Calgary Alberta Canada, George, Heather, Rick and all the clinets, thanks for the awesome time.  It was lots of fun working with you guys and I hope to be back soon for another visit.  George went above and beyond the call of duty and between her and all her friends, they showed me a great time all week.

Darrin White and Larry did a collaborative painting as a gift for Joe Capobianco after learning he had to cancel his guest spot with us due to health issues.  After letting the oil paint dry and having our friend Tony frame it, Joe finally got the painting on his doorstep.  Joe was a bit surprised and pleased to find a painting of his dog Molly in the box as he had no idea it was coming.

Larry has three recent tattoo magazine articles out including the current issue of Tattoo Revue #134 with Kat Von D on the cover.

The internet based Tattoo Magazin out of Romania Year 1 issue 5 which feature one of his tattoos on the cover.  You can get the PDF down load from the site in English or Romanian.

Tattoo Revival in Australia did a 14 page spread in Volume 11 just in time for the PTAA Tattoo Convention in Melbourne Australia where Larry will be tattooing with his old friend Chris Reed.

On a much sadder note we end this update with the Loving Memory of two people we lost recently.  Larry's Grandmother Emily passed away at the age of 93.

Our good friend Tom Eiler lost his wife Robin after a long courageous fight that would have taken most of us much sooner.  She was a strong woman with the heart of a lion.

Our deepest sympathies go out to  the Brogan and Eiler families.

1-8-08 - Tattoo City is happy to announce that St. Paul MN tattoo artist Brandon Heffron will be joining us for a guest spot March 11-15th.  Please contact us to set up appointments and be sure to check out Brandon's work at www.belovedstudios.com

12-26-07 - We hope everyone had a great Christmas and got lots of good stuff from Santa.

Due to Larry's overwhelming and busy schedule he will not be taking on any new clients until approximately April.  His appointment book is filled into May with the exception of a couple conventions and guest spots.  To be able to accommodate his regular clients who are working on large in progress tattoos it has become necessary to put a hold on new clients.  You can still email him with info and requests about future work but bookings will not be made until the Spring of '08.  Sorry to inconvenience anyone but the work is worth the wait.

12-19-07 - We would like to thank Darrin White for coming back for the fifth time this year and look forward to seeing him again in 2008.  Darrin and Larry worked on a collaborative painting together this past week so check back soon for the photos.

Larry has updated a ton of in progress images as well as a few finished images.

As this may be the last update of 2007 we would all like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and hope 2008 is a happy and health New Year for you all.  Thank you to all the people who made this year such an awesome one for Tattoo City and our artists.

12-7-07 - ATTENTION - Due to an unforeseen health issue, Joe Capobianco has had to cancel his guest spot next week.  He is very sorry to disappoint anyone this trip and will be contacting his appointments ASAP to give them the news.  We wish Joe well and hope that he can reschedule his trip to Tattoo City very soon.
